#LancsBox X allows analyses in multiple panels. This allows users to conduct searches with a range of tools and visualise the results simultaneously. This article provides guidance on how to add new panels and manage panels once added.
1) Open any tool in #LancsBox X.
2) Hover the mouse over any side of the panel. A small (+) icon will appear. This icon will allow you to add a new panel. Clicking the (+) button at the top of the screen will bring up a new panel above the current panel, clicking (+) to the right will bring up the new panel on the right etc.
3) Clicking (+) will allow the user to select which tool to add in the new window (see image below). The user can select KWIC (top), GraphColl (right), and Words (left).
4) Panels can be re-arranged by clicking and dragging on the top part of the window.
5) Individual panels can be maximised by pressing the maximise button in the top right corner of any panel. Clicking the same button again will bring the user back the multiple panel view. Individual panels can also be closed by selecting the (x) icon in the top right corner.
6) When multiple panels are open, the user must select a panel before carrying out a search. To select a single panel, click anywhere within the panel. The selected panel will be highlighted in yellow, while non-selected panels will remain white.
7) Multiple panels can be selected by holding down the Ctrl or Cmd key while clicking tools. This can be used to perform the same search in multiple panels at once.
