A range of corpora are available to download and use directly from the #LancsBox X interface. This article provides step by step instruction on how to access and download available corpora.
1) Open #LancsBox X. The KWIC tool should automatically open. If no tool is loaded, open any tool from the main page (KWIC tool is recommended).
2) In the top left of the page, just below the search bar, the previously selected corpus should appear.
3) Clicking here will show all corpora that you have previously loaded. To download a new corpus, select ‘add corpora’.
4) A list of corpora available to download will appear. Left clicking on a corpus will display a summary of key information in the panel on the right.
5) To download the corpus, agree to the corpus license and select ‘Download’.
6) You can now access the downloaded corpus in your list of corpora as shown in Step 2.
